just got my 83 running perfectly last night, turbo was fine,
ran the car to the store and back again,
now this morning the turbo just died again, It sounds like it's scraping against the housings jsut like the old one, I did'nt even have 100 miles
on the the thing, what would cause a new turbo to just die?!
I also got the turbo from TurboCity.

Kevin,
PS, I'm very fustrated!!

Oil oil oil oil. It is the blood of a turbo. Did you install a brand new Oil line, I know Turbo City's warantee is null and void unless you can prove you purchased a new oil line. If the oil was ok and nothing gummed up the turbo then you should get a free replacement. Call Turbo City and find out.

The funning thing is, I cleaned out the supply line and it was dripping out oil
like mad when I had to take it off to tighten a few bolts.
Would an oil resivoir on that oil line cause a problem?

Ok the line has oil, but did you make sure the bolt for the banjo fitting was not clogged? My turbo went out the first time on my car and the bolt was blocked no oil to the turbo at all. If noe call Turbo City and give them a rash, I dont like them to much myself. I use Turbo Power up in Sac CA, Dolby is a nice guy and he does good work.

Another thing to remember is oil flow from the turbo. Make sure the return is not plugged up either. It is much larger for a reason, to make sure the oil flow is not impeaded in any way.
