Visited the mechanic yesterday. Next week he will drain and fill with the "family" recommended fluid you guys told me about. It should fix the grinding when cold. It is flawless when warm but a bear when cold. I am still too sick to really take her out and run the esses and take on ricers but am improving. Funny thing... They put me on Doxycycline after two other antibiotics failed. Antrax? The docs are worried and have taken a lot of blood for for extensive testing. I WILL be better. Have to start work on the cabin shortly and the weather won't last much longer for QuickSilver to take to the roads. God, I hate having to put her in the garage for weeks on end if there is snow or salt/chemicals on the road. In 3 years she has been rained on 4 times. No snow driving at all. She sits in her glory in the heated bay of my garage just waiting to put a smile on my face. After putting an Elmo stuffed animal on the dash we decided to nickname QuickSilver the "Elmobile". Sort of neat. Elmo would drive a Z if he could reach the pedals. Ricers see Elmo and laugh but only see his backside as I grind them into the asphalt and spit them out.
