Guys
I am in the process of removing the strut assembly on my 71 240Z.
Any good ideas as how to remove the spindle pin. I removed the locking bolts (after a good amount of spraying WD-40 and tapping with a heavy hammer using a piece of wood to inulate the blow. Got those out but the spindle isn't moving at all. Used the hammer with the wood block but no luck. The spindle ends are slightly mushroomed (will be replacing those as well as using urethane bushings. By the way, I got the bushings out by burning them with a propane torch. (Be very careful as you're near the gas tank.) The spindle pins still don't budge. Frozen as ****. I ended up respraying them with WD-40 and will try again. I may cut them and press them out.
Any suggestions
thanks

Pressing the pins is the only way to get them out. rust is holding them in the spindle. use a real penetrating oil and spray inside the lock bolt hole. WD-40 doesn't work as well. u need to mount the assembly in a press and work the pin back and forth. it's time consuming but it's the best way.
