My shop, who are very honest but a bit high in costs, quoted me $750.00 for parts and labor to fix a high speed shift clunk in the rear end.

****, I though it was a bit high but maybe it's a tough full day job?

Thoughts?

usually when a shop doesnt want to work on your car they will quote you a insanely high price for work, at least in my experience. when I went to a shop for a alignment I asked for a quote and he nodded to my car and said "that car?" I said "yes" and his reply was "ohh about 200 dollars" for some reason instead of laughing in his face and giving him a smart remark and walking away I just said hmm Ill think about it. I need to be quicker on my feet. heh
