I have read all the posts on this and cannot figure out the problem. I just changed trams mount, diff mount, all 6 U-joints and most of the rubber bushings. I have the mustash bar bushings and thought I had the correct rear stabalizer bar bushings, but they sent me the square ones and mine are like the front they are half round ones. I have a 70 240Z and I think it is all original. Ilso the rear end links look wrong when I ordered them. They are the one peice kind where you have to take off the halfshaft from the rear wheel hub or you cannot fit in in place. When I finally got it in place the threaded part on the top of the endlink would be hitting the halfshaft, so I just used the new rubber and utilized the old endlink, bolt and nut, anyone else have this problem?? Also the biggest thing in this clunk. It only happens in first or second gear. It also only happens after a COMPLETE STOP. I happend AS SOON AS I START OFF. Amost like something happens when I stop and then releases when I go. Other than this all the fixes made a HUGE difference in the ride. I get tight shifting a graet ride and solid shifts with no more big clunking. My clunk almost feels like a bind. Also when I have the hatch up and I jump on the car up and down I can kind of hear it. I am thinking It could be a suspension thing. I have not changed the A-arm bushings yet?
Any help???
