Ok does any one have a trick to remove that 27mm bolt holding the flange on the rear diff that attaches to the DS? Of course my Zed is the [email protected] one that has the square flange with the 2" pilot hole.
I have used penetrating oil, air gun, big arse breaker bar, dry ice and even a torch. I can't seem to get it to budge. Reason why I need to remove it is so I can put on the more common one for when I get my custom DS made.
Make sure your air compressor has enough air capacity to let your rattle gun work at full power. If it won't move with an impact wrench you pretty much need a nut splitter or use a die grinder to remove enough metal to split it with the impact.
Is it still in the car? If so you could wedge the breaker bar against the floor board with it on the nut, then try pushing the car. The leverage of the gear ratio might help break it loose, but other than that my best idea is more time with the impact wrench, or a more powerful impact wrench. Thats all I needed for mine was 10 seconds or so with an impact.
