Earlier I posted a message that my '72 240Z was bogging down. I just changed the oil and advanced the timing to 20 degrees (but the book says to have it a 10 degrees). Why would this help that because now, I can find no trace of my Z bogging down anymore?

The book assumes you will run 87 octane

if you run 93 or higher you should be able to get by with 34 degrees total advance. More advance equals more HP and better mileage!:)
