RE: Fastest cornering technique?- Long

Noise, smoke, and counter steering are showy, but not fast. Start on the outside of the turn and slow to turning speed before the turn to transfer weight to the front tires. Turn in aiming for a point on the inside of the turn a little past the geometric center (late apex). GRADUALLY apply throttle to get the weight transfered back to the rear tires, and aim for a point on the outside of the turn. Too much throttle and the unloaded rear tires will spin, and that means no acceleration. Street tires will squall a little through the turn, (small slip angle) but should not come loose. Too much noise,(large slip angle) then you are wearing out tires, and are giving up to much traction for a small gain in speed. Read slow. These are general rules for a constant radius turn with a staight following it. At these limits hopefully you are on a track.
