I got myself a new Pioneer radio to replace my Kenwood. My question is that I cant remember if the colored wires on the harness are the same for any aftermarket radio out there? I had a Pioneer in there before the Kenwood and I remember just splicing into the harness. I know in the FSM there is the wiring diagram for what goes where, but as far as the harness off the radio, are all brands the same?

in most cases yes

almost every aftermarket stereo follows the same patterns for wiring colours,
if I remember correctly:
Black - Ground
Red - Ignition Power
Yellow - Constant Power
Blue - Remote Wire

2 Brown \
2 Green \
2 Pink / Speakers
2 White /
(I think those are the colours for the speakers, anything where there's 2 of, are speakers)

The actual plug that goes into the back end of the radio with all the connections will likely differ between Kenwood and Pioneer. I know Sony and Kenwood use different sized connectors - but as others have stated, wire colors seem to be universal.
