I recently let my son borrow my ZX (I know, dumb!!!) and it overheated on him and blew off the radiator cap and the collar that it attaches to. We've been having a hard time finding anyone who can locate a new (or used) part. I'm wondering though if this part is press fit (we gently pounded it back in) and I can still drive the car without worry, or if it's a welded part and that the weld blew and I need to replace it. Any help is appreciated.

Think it's brass...easy to solder...use silver solder and rebuild it...small pipe to side can be replaced by soldering on soft copper...use new gasket. Make sure the tube to the overflow tank is clear by pulling it out and using a water hose to wash out the tank.

The radiator filler neck is still available from NISSAN. replaced mine last week along with new cap. My 86 N/A did the same exact thing at 70 mph in 106 degree heat . Secured it with JB weld till I got home 300 miles later!.
