what do i need other then the diff unit, and what modifications. i checked Zhome, and i heard two different stories, do i need new half shafts, and what are half shafts

Well i plan on doin a swap also to a r200 diff. I was on Arizona Z Car website and they have the swap which also will show you which types of shafts are compatible.
They also carry the shafts for sale. Hope this helps................

Hi Chuck--------------Depending on what year Z you have, ZBarn has a kit they sell for this. Part number DT-1299, Differential Swap Kit, R-180 to R-200. Price is $125.00 plus freight. This kit contains the proper mustache bar along with the diff mounting brackets you will need. Again depending on what year car, you may also need to invest in a different driveshaft. I suggest you give the folks at Z Barn a call. They can advise you on what's necessary to do this swap.
