I am interested in a rear disk-brake conversion for my 72 240.
One of the Tech. Postings (Washington Zclub) indicates utilizing ZX rear calipers from 79 - 81.
I have found two different caliper designs in this range, with a preference to the later 81design.
Other than calling JCR, I was wondering if anyone else has completed such a conversion.
Is their strictly ONE caliper witch is required for this project, or are there other OEM calipers
Which may be used?

Any other preferences out there?

Any info. Is appreciated,
Manny

I did the conversion... Used the JCR aluminum bracket, rear calipers/yokes/emergency cable off of a '81 zx. The ones you need are the ones what have a fixed caliper and a sliding yoke that surrounds the caliper. BTW, if you go with the JCR brackets, make sure to get the emergency brake cable... you will need to splice the ends of this housing to your early z's.

P.S. This is a simple conversion that makes a big difference.

Have fun,

DR
