I am able to purchase a set of 45 dcoe carbs from a guy, and they are

from what i can tell this is the later model of dcoe 45's is this true or is there anything i should know about this model carb before purchasing them..

also what conditions will ruin the carbs seals, He pulled them off the intake, drained them and sealed them in plastic bags. but this was 2 years ago...

any problems to look out for there?

(previously dcoe 40's but too small)

Sorry, I can't answer your questions regarding the vintage of the carbs. I was just curious if you have any parts for the 40's? I need a set of 34 mm chokes. In all my books the 45's look to be the same carb as the 40's just a bigger bore and the chokes look and are retained a little different. From what I've seen it appears that sitting up dry ruins the seals, I myself need 3 rebuild kits.
