Does your manual tranny shifter (shift lever) have a slight offset curve in it? On the tranny I just bought the shifter looks like it has been slightly offset and I'm wondering if that is normal for those years of transmissions. Thanks!

I can't remenber good but I know 81-83 shifter has less curved than the earlier ones. I'm using it on my 78. the bushing is different too. the busing has square hole I think.

Yes it is cureved..

Yep I have a 83 280zx with the 5 spd and it curves to the left to allow for a more reachable shift. I am in the process right now to cut an extra one I have to make a short shifter.. LaterZ
