on my 85 n/a it will not shift into overdrive till tranny is fully warmed up (i kno it is supposto do that) is there a way to disable the tranny from doing this?(jus to go as if it were warmed up). if there is a way to disconnect it is it bad for the tranny/car?

how is it bad for the transmission? this is the ONLY car that i have ever seen/driven that has done this? if it was bad for the tranny why dont they do it on all cars?
anyone else kno any other ways of disabling this?

I think it is more for the engine then the AT.
You don't want to lug a cold engine.
My 94 S10 Jimmy is the same.
If everthing is working right it shifts normal withen 3 miles on a cold day & it getts COLD in Iowa.
