need help guys,does the ecu and afm from a 1977 280z fit on a 1978 or are they different types.thanks for your help

Gonna take a guess here~ I'd say the 77 ecu should work with the 78. The afm might as well. I think the afm pin 5 vs 7 changed
in 79. If I'm wrong somebody please correct me.
I do know for sure though that a 77 ecu and afm will work on a 75
or 76.

Hi BIGREDZ-----------Ron is correct. The ECU and AFM for '77 and '78 280's are the same. There were some changes in the '79 components, chief among these being the number of pins in the AFM and the size and shape of the AFM cover. To be completely sure of getting the right ECU, match the numbers on the sticker or plate on the unit. This works for the AFM as well.
