i have a 1985 300zx n/a. i want to put a turbo system in it. is it possible to get a 300zx turbo from like a junkyard and put the turbo stuff in my car. i know i would need a turbo manifold, the turbine, the piping, the computer and maybe new fuel injectors. what else would you need to convert a n/a 300zx into a turbo. and buying a new turbo 300zx is not an option, because i like just got this one.

Alternator Bracket and you'll have to rewire the alternator once its in the new location.
and to do it right you should swap the wiring harness so you have a hook up for the knock sensor.

go to z31.com and read about the swap

You can turbo your n/a engine but you won't be able to run more than stock boost, which kind of defeats the purpose. It's possible to get around this but I believe you need to do a bunch more things. Can it be done? Yes but if you are going to do the swap it's better to do the turbo engine as well.

Again it's not a simple task. As I mentioned you will not be able to exceed stock boost unless you do some more work to it. It's much easier to use a turbo engine if you want a turbo set up. You need to do a lot more learning before you attemt this
