Hey all! Been getting a squealing sound from the bearing in my power steering pulley (at least I think that's where!) on my '82 280ZX. I would like to repair rather than replace but can't seem to find the bearing by itself. Is it ok to just grease up the good one and call it a day?

It may not be a bearing like your thinking of, it may just be a collar and seals.

I would loosen up the belt tensioner, take the belt off, and turn the individual pullies by hand and see how the feel or sound.

The factory manual says you can replace the seals but if anything else is worn to replace the unit.

Usually it's the belt squealing, not the bearing. I don't think there's a way to lube it.
