How much can I plane my p79 without worrying about lash pads and cam tower shims? And what kind of compression can I expect to get with the head planed??
How much have you guys taken off, and what kind of compresion increases did you see? also, if I'm worried about throwing the cam timing out, can't I just set the cam sprocket differently to compensate? Have any of you got your cams ground? what sort of limitations did you have as to lift/duration on a re-ground stocker? I have an '83 zx p79, flat top pistons, felpro gasket (don't know if that changes anything) you'll have to excuse my huge pile of questions, I've got my engine torn apart and have the horsepower bug from ****!!!
