I'm looking for a reasonably priced radiator for my 72, anybody know where to find a good one? I need it to stand 100+degree days at the track. thanks

Well you can go the performance radiator route which would be best if you have mucho money to spend OR you could get a nice 4core radiator out of a mustang late model frim a pick 'n pull junkyard or even a nice 3core 280ZX radiator also from your local pick 'n pull. My 02. shane-

A ZX radiator won't fit in a 70-78 because the corners are too square.

Let me change that it will fit but then the lid won't close.

You will need a Z radiator -- I put a three row from a 280 in my 260

I have a 70 240 with a 83 Zx turbo radiator in it. The hood latches shut just fine, and the Zx radiator fits perfectly square with at least 3/4 inch clearance at both sides, and the radiator's bottom does not stick below the 'wall' of the front lower radiator support. You will have to relocate the mounting bolt holes however to use a Zx in any earlier model Z car. Perhaps this was what you were refering to as you thought ' not working'....????? shane-
