HEY!

I've stripped the transmission tunnel and the entire floor-area of it's soundproofing and cleaned up lots of surface rust. I'm getting ready to slap some paint down on it. (This is a '72 240). I would just use some Rustoliem paint, but I thought I'd ask to see if there's something special I should use. I want big-time protection, and I don't mind spending $$$ on good paint. I have to brush it on, (Most of the car is still together and I don't want to mask for overspray) but that shouldn't matter much 'cause you can't see those areas anyhow!

The metal is very clean, btw.

I should use undercoat on the inside of the car? I'm painting the inside of the floorboards, not the underside. [that's where the rust was.]

I have to find something that can brush on though, since I don't want to mask the whole interior for it.
