I have an 83 ZXT found out today my head is bad and needs rebuilding. I was thinking about using a P90 and getting away from the Hydrolic (spelling) lifters. Can you guys let me know the pros and cons about going either way?

ive been told that u can get more power from p 90 head cause it can take higher revs,but the p90a head is quiet and all you can hear is the injectors pumping

Suggestion

The P90A has larger, square exhaust ports that are said by some to be the best flowing. I'm converting my P90A to solid lifters, using a bolt of the outer diameter of the hydraulic lifter, then drill out and thread for the solid lifter.

There aren't many new, replacement hydraulic lifters left, so if one goes bad, it's a bitch.

Plus the higher revs thing.
