I just bought an 81zxt and tore the engine apart for rebuild and swap. The head says it is a P79. I thought turbos had P90s on them. Was that just 82-83? Will I have trouble running 15-20psi through a P79? Intercooled of course.
Please let me know. Is anyone doing this?

I think you can. The chamber cc's are same among P79,P90 and P90A. the difference was the pistons. On N/A it came with flat top and on turbo it came with dish top pistons. On P79 head, I would work the top of the head chamber for denation proof. And if you have the money, alumium fill the lower chamber around the spark plug inlet.
