My 83s' rear parking brake cable has seized on the driver side. I went to the the 82 parts car and it's stuck too. Curious, I looked at the cable on my 83 turbo and one side had been disconnected.

Just wondering: Is that a common problem with the design?

RbM, I had to replace my E-cable also,yes they do freeze up. I just went ahead and paid the $80 and replaced it with a new one because I found that most of them where froze up or broken. This way I don't have to worry about it for a long time. It is a real pain not having one! Ken
