Opinions on the Nissan Juke...

I'm looking at the specs, and I have to say...not bad.

Heaviest option has AWD and weighs only 3210; Base model FWD weighs 2910.

Turbo engine standard. Only thing I don't like is you can't get the 6-spd with the AWD....hopefully they change this on future models.

I do see why some may see it as an ugly car, but I'd rather get it over an xB and it's turbo engine allows for customization in the future. Sporty yet roomy....I think I may be adding this to my list of maybes of possible car purchase down the road next to the Genesis....cheaper too.

I'm not going to get it now....so relax.

Turbo? Well I think more of it now. Kudos to Nissan for making something that looks different. I would buy a little Jeep for 4wd though.

Transverse engine, must be...........
Yeah, what attracted me to it the most was the AWD but I was shot down when it wasn't offered a 6-spd. I'll be happy with the FWD, especially what everyone is saying how well it handles compared to the AWD (which was pretty minimal). The FWD has more space due to the absence of the transfer cases.
The FWD Juke is the preffered model by most of the people I work with, at our Nissan dealership. The AWD model doesn't seem to have the same power.
Well it finnaly happened that Nissan offered a stock turbo car. The last one was in 96 with the 300zxtt (at least in the states). Should have offered a turbo setup with the 350/370z in the first place.
I think the juke is pugly with a SSR looking front and hatch rear but the features not so bad. But if I need somthing like a Juke I'd get a durango or a Subaru Outback. Unlike the juke I can fit a whole deer in the back and like a simpleton I like simplistic and rugged if I need a SUV.
Great little runner but Butt UGLY!
Can see where it would be a cool twenty something toy.

You could get a supercharged Nissan Xterra from 02-04 in the states. South American countries got a turbo diesel model, which is the one I'd love to see here...

Anyways, I think the Juke is actually pretty cool looking, but then again I'm 19 so I'm the target market.
Well, it makes for a better turbo FWD car than the SRT-4...which in my area, are being driven around by backwards cap wearing, keg chugging, frat bros who think they're the $hizzzz....

I actually see some class in the Juke. To me, it says "Don't rice me out, but feel free to upgrade anything else." So I can say, there's a sense of maturity to it despite the loud design. When you see the SRT-4, it screams "RICCCCCCEEEEAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

I'm 20 and I think this thing is terribly ugly, so I don't think it's age. I agree though. It's cool that Nissan turbo charged this, but, if they are going to put a turbo charger in something, they should be turbo charging things that should be turbo charged... like the 370.
I actually think it is pretty neat looking. If I was in the market for a new CUV I might consider this, it is cheaper than most and has more power while getting better economy. BTW I am 22.

As stricter laws and higher expectations continue to strangle car companies I think we will see more turbo and diesel cars in America.

A few people think it looks good. I'm just saying I don't think it's limited to age. It might be targeted at a younger age group, but the only people that I've seen that like the looks are on this forum and their ages have a pretty good spread.

As for the turbos comment: I couldn't agree more. Ford has gone turbo crazy and it is working quite well for them. It makes sense too. Turbo charged cars get more power and better gas mileage.

Oh I agree that the age of appreciation varies. I think that the first gen Scion xB was HIDEOUS but the new one isn't so bad. The Smart Car is horrible but those are the only cars I see on the road, along side the fugly Prius and xB. It is definitely targeted at the 18-24 maybe 30 age group. I don't know if it will be as successful as the other "edgy" vehicles but I think the turbo should help.

Ya Ford has really stepped up and improved in some dire times. I really like the idea of the turbo cars, more power in a smaller more efficient package. Turbo reliability has also come along way as well.
It is sad when people say things like "weighs only 3210". Despite what people try and say these days that is still a bloated pig in my book. Maybe if the weenies did not require 12 airbags and took a page from the motorcycle book and actually looked materials that reduced weight we could have something resonable.

Don't get me started on the fact that it drives the wrong wheels.
Maybe it it came with the force field. I'll keep my 82 thank you.
