I would like to know if anyone here has used an oil pressure sensing unit from a later 280zx and wired it on the 240Z harness.
The original 240Z sending unit has one single connecting end (male bullet style)
the 280ZX has 2 male connector ends (shaped like the letter "L").
How would you connect this style sensing unit.

I'm not sure a sending unit from a ZX is going to help you much. Now a pump from a ZX will be an improvement! Just going to a new, direct-replacement, single contact sending unit from NAPA or MSA or anywhere else will greatly improve your confidence in your pressure guage. And no wiring changes necessary.

If you want to save your self some headake, get a nessan sending unit the others are [email protected]%p and dont work properly or for long . Thats my 2 cents.
