I would try a rubber mallot and tap it off or try a large flat head screwdriver and pry at diferent parts of the oil pan to loosen it and get it off. Good luck.LaterZ
Use a flat, thin gasket scraper, hammer it in between the pan and gasket all the way round.
It breaks the seal and you can lift it off then.
You're right, a screwdriver will bend the lip and cause leaks..............
Check and make sure ALL the bolts are out. I did this once , the pan just wouldn't come off. Found one bolt on back corner and one hit and it was off! Ken
