I just did a compression test on my 90TT on monday. Today i noticed a small pool of oil on the asphalt below the engine. Its never leaked any oil until now. Could i have caused an oil leak by performing the compression test? or is it merely a coincidence...

did you add oil recently? maybe another car was parked in your spot with a leak?

Add a teaspoon of oil when you did the compression test?

The crankcase can see pressure when you do a boost leak test. Possible you could have forced some oil by a seal. Would need a better idea of where (spatially) it was to speculate farther.

I did not add any oil recently or during the compression test. It was in my driveway so its not another car. Ill have to investigate further when i can get under it and look around

Not possible. Cranking for a compression test with a gauge installed is no different than cranking the engine with plugs in, same pressure. Agreed with Cuis-z about a botched boost leak test blowing something out.
