If I want to swap to OBD1 does anyone know if the only harness I actually have to swap is the one running to the ecu?

I cannot think of the top of my head anything in the interior harness that would change...

I'd say that is basically all that needs to be changed
I hope thats it. Will be quick and painless then.
Hmmmm

I think not ... what year Z is the car and what year harness will you " drop in "?

Well I have a wrecked 94tt that I'm in the process of doing an engine rebuild on and probably going to put t28 turbos on. I'm swapping that engine into a 96tt and swapping to obd1
I don't see why not ???
This is a little off topic but if I re ringed the pistons and had the rods balanced and replaced the rod and main bearings anyone think it would hold up to 450whp for a daily driver?

Uh... are you talking about a motor in or a motor out wiring harness swap?
Motor out and I already have to pull the dash apart to change the heater core
Ah, then yes that's pretty painless.
If you were going to hook this up to say a 91 it would be a problem...... but a 94~96 should be a slam dunk

she should hold 450whp with stock internals... I don't see why go through all that hassle, I say go for the new rings and bearings, skip the rod balancing
430 here on a sorta daily driven... stock internals 100% no problems. Just keep the boost under 19lbs and no less than 615/555 injectors and you should be fine.
Awesome was gonna do 555cc what turbos you using?
Also each turbo only goes to one bank of cylinders correct? So to have 19 psi it would be 19 psi out of each turbo correct?
when it comes to pressure, your total pressure is what counts, so both turbos would be producing a total of 19, how they balance each other out that's a different deal, there might be a slight variation in pressures, but at the end of the day the difference is insignificant
No 19 total.. the boost is measured off a single fitting in the plenum...
There is a balance tube between the left & right intake horn...

I'm using what turbochargers.com calls the "big T28 CHRA", its just a huge chra crammed into a stock housing. They're ******* turbos and produce more heat than efficiency from what i've learned. They work fine for me though, full boost by 4500ish and made 430 to the ground. I'm also using new style nismo 615s, with the older style 555s i wouldnt boost over 17.5 just to be safe, but thats me.
What are you using for tuning purposes?
I was using a CZP eprom, but that thing was a pile of ****. gave me a 12.5 a/r. I went with another eprom from specialty Z that they cut me from a customer they had already tuned with the same setup as me. It should be considered "untuned" when you use a generic eprom as every engine/setup varies in some way and each is unique on the dyno
