Hi,

I own a 1990 Z32 NA Manual thats done just over 100,000Kms and recently I've noticed a strange sound at high revs. It's hard to explain so bare with me...

At idle it's fine but once you start pressing the accelerator there is a kind of whizzing noise that gets louder and louder until about 4500 revs where the noise completely changes and sounds really horrible - this noise sounds like maybe worn bearings or something and a bad vibration can be felt on the gearstick at this stage.

This happens in all gears and even in neutral while parked.

I changed the shifter bushings a couple of weeks ago to cure the sloppy gearbox but i doubt this could be related.

Any suggestions of what this could be or any simple diagnostics would be apprecieated. Thanks.
