I have a '83 280zx I was driving down the road and it just stopped running. I traced it to no power to the fuel pump.
I see in the book I have that there are several relays but that's all the book says.
Can someone e-mail me the FSM page(s) that decribe them and thier trouble shooting?
I know I should get my own but I'm on a VERY tight budget.
Thanks.

What book have you got?

There are two relays, one on the passengers side front wheel well, and the other is under the dash on the passengers side above the fuse box.

I had this problem awhile back. You can check to see if the fuel pump works by hooking up a battery directly to it. Lift up the rear carpet and pad and in the center of the floor area you will see a couple wires coming through. Disconnect them and touch them to the battery posts. If you hear a humming sound start, your pump is fine. My problem was the EFI relay. There are 3 relays besides this one that are connected to the pump. I dont know where its at cause I had a shop find the problem for me since the other three that I found were good. Hope this will help narrow down your trouble shooting fiasco.
