Just purchased a 1980 280zx 2+2 and had it transported from Cali to Texas where I am located. Here are a few pics from yesterday.

Very clean looking Z. I hope it runs great for you.

I suggest you start by changing all fluids front to back:
Coolant (flush and replace)
Power steering fluid (if present)
Brake fluid (DOT4)
Transmission oil (Change to synthetic)
Rear end oil (Change to synthetic)

And pack the front wheel bearings, which is something often overlooked today.

Good to visually check the rubber brake lines - you might replace them before changing fluid.
