Opinions will vary on this but mine would be to take it easy for at least the first 500 if not 1,000 miles. I would also change the oil at 500 then again at 1000 then to a regular schedule. The main thing would be to take it easy. Good luck. John

make a test run at 30 MPH. periodically open throttle wide and accelerate to 50 MPH and decelerate rapidly. repeat this procedure at least 10 times. applying loads to the engine for short periods of time increases ring pressure against the cylinder walls and helps seat the rings. the rapid deceleration increases vacuum and gives extra lubricatin to the piston and ring assemblies. drive normally but not at continuous high speeds for the first 500 miles . an occasional quick burst of speed followed by rapid deceleration in the proper gear during this period is advisable.. change oil after 500 miles. thats what it said when i got my new motor
