This is the NEW Bonneville World Record for a Production Z-Car, fellas!!!!!!!
1976 280Z 2+2, and Andy Flagg running in his FIRST Bonneville record attempt broke the existing F/Production record set by the Nissan Factory Team waaaay back in 1975 with Mike Mika driving!

I just found the website with all the records, I didn't realize it was for the whole 2.01 L. to 3.0 L. class. That is pretty cool. What type of modifications are allowed for this class? Is there another website for rules?

The 2+2 having a longer wheelbase would be much more stable at that speed. I'm not 100% sure about drag but I suspect the stability is a bigger issue than any coefficient of drag difference.

He said why he used a 2+2 some time in the past. cant remember exactly but I think it was because 2 seaters and 2+2s are in differant classes. so he picked it to be more compete with lesser cars.
