I once(2 weeks ago) went to hook up a mech. oil pressure gauge to my 83 zxt. I was taking that T-block off the side of the motor to take with me to get all the fittings for the gauge. But no, the nipple breaks off in the engine block. So ok no problem get a screw extractor, bamb the extractor breaks off in the block. Dam! so you get out your drill and bits and drill right through the extractor & nipple and freaken oil gally clear in the block. This is the oil filter outlet gally !! Or I just bottomed out the extractor in the galley cracking the gally. Alls I know is when she was started there was plenty of oil getting to the filter, but none going to that T-block where the oil pressure sender is.
A simple 15 minute job turned into a 2 week motor swap.
The motor did seize up..
I still haven't figured out what I did, nor have I got my motor back in my Z yet
