i have the longer needle-seat in the front carb, and the shorter one in the rear carb.....

Re: Two different needle-seat sizes

Hey Monkey, how goes it?<http://www.jetlink.net/~okayfine/sutech.html> this site should help you out with your SU's. My day's of playing with them are long gone (late 70's early 80's). I did enjoy them before going triple webs.

Re: Two different needle-seat sizes

by looking at the info on ztherapy this is what i'm seeing.

the rear carb has the longer ears and the longer needle-seat.
the front carb had the short ears and the short needle-seat.

this would make the rear carb run lean compared to the front carb!?

or do you match the long needle-seat witht he short ears to balance out the difference in the ears?

i need to get that video ( is it on dvd yet? i dont even own a vcr anymore)

Re: Two different needle-seat sizes

why would you want the rear carb to lean out first? i just dont understand it.

also, my banjo fittings are now pointing in the wrong direction, is this an indication that the PO took these out and reinstalled them wrong? thats the only thing i can think of.

i'm going to fix these the way that ztherapy says for now.
