So I've PB blasted and torched the **** out out this and no budge. Just so I'm not making things worse on this I'm I unloosening this the correct direction. This is the driver side.

I did it this way on the passenger side and it didn't take much to loosen. I would think it's the same direction as the right side right?

Oh, I forgot to say what I'm trying to get off if the photos don't explain. It's the tie rod locking nut on the rack and pinion. It won't budge!
Sorry, should work now!
I would think they are the same as the other side was. The lock nut, to loosen goes towards the rack and pinion or towards the inside being clockwise. The tie rod itself turns counter clockwise towards the outside, right?

I'm I right?
as stated above, one of them is reverse thread.
If I remember correctly, push the wrench on the locknut from the bottom of the car toward the rear on the pass side and pull toward the front of the car with the wrench on the bottom on the driver's side. If you clean the threads off and look closely at which direction they spiral, it should be intuitively obvious to the most casual observer...:)

Yup, I think it's a left handed thread. Found a couple of posts even though one is for a 79 and mine's a 75;

Hope I haven't tighten it so bad that I can't get it off. Back to the torch.

So, to loosen the lock nut, up towards the front of the car, lefty, and the tie rod end towards the rear, righty. Right? Well it's the opposite of what I've been doing.
