Haynes manual says color code label is on the right side of the radiator support. I have two labels on the support but no color code label. On my firewall is a stamped metal tag with vin#, eng, driveline info, etc. Also shows a color # of 082. Checked the Dupli-color catalog and can't find this code. The car is an 82 and the color is a dark grey with light grey leather interior, would anyone know the code for this exterior paint color. Thanks for your help...... Tom Wasney 82zx na

I think we are dealing with two different "paint codes" here...the factory gave each color a "code" number that designated the color (red, blue, etc.)...a paint shop uses a different "code" to mix paint...you should be able to get the latter from the parts department of your local Nissan dealer...maybe...Good Luck... )

all datsun paint codes were 3 numbers


i looked up the 082 paint code and it is jade grey metallic years 1982-83

so that is possibly it, also in that year range was 720 medium grey metallic 1980-82

It's got to be the jade grey, it has kind of a grey-green look to it. So the code 082 on the firewall is good. Thanks for your help ebola.......... Tom 82zx
