I have a blown hose on my fuel injection Manifold. Its one of the little hoses that conects the rails. I need to get the injectors out of the manifold in order to replace the hose. I cant get them out and they are phillips so i dont want to strip them. any suggestions? Has any one just cut the rails way back so there is enough room to add alot of flex hose so the injectors dont have to be pulled? I have another f.i manifold but the injectors are clogged, any way to unclog?

go get a new long shaft screw driver (quality brand) place the screw driver into the screw then take a hammer and lightly hammer on the end of the screwdriver. This should help loosen up the threads. then lean into the screwdriver and turn to remove the screw. It is best to go ahead and replace all the fuel lines while you are there. No telling how close the other ones are to start leaking as well. Get new injector seals. You can pick up a set at you local parts store. They are not to expensive.
Good luck

I would start it out with a 8mm on a screwdriver handle then buzz it out with a electro screw gun. The injector tips are like egg shells so take special care not to crack it. Since you have your rail off you may want to inspect the rubber seals, the cost like 10 bucks to replace all 12 rings.

on the hose from the rail to the injector, how does it clamp on to the brass fitting since there is no hose clamp. I dont want to mess with those if its part of the injector cause they are expensive

You must be talking about the collar at the bottom of the hose? The way to replace the hose is to cut or use a soldering iron to slice the hose. Take off the old hose and the collar around the barbed fitting and reinstall new HIGH PRESSURE FUEL INJECTION hose, and fuel injection hose clamps (not worm drive clamps). Size is 5/16" and available at AutoZone.

I'm not to sure what spacers your car has but my 280zx cars use this bakolite trash and they all crack. Someone said they have steel ones, this would be cool.
But since you have it all off look for any cracks on the spacers that hold about an inch of each screw. I find the only special tool is a 12 inch ratchit extension. extension for that the largest bolt, with this you can repair these injectors in like an hour.
I went to the bone yard and found a ZX with what looked to be very new injectors and scammed all 6 for $25 bucks. Girls get better prices so sent in your girlfriend when it's time to cash out.

I forgot my tube removal ideas.
What I do is make a 1/16 of an inch scores half way along the tube but by all means not cutting through the rubber tube. At this point the tube will tear along the score not harming the injector. You can do this to the fuel rail as well.
Just use a flat head driver to promote the ripping.
