My ignition system just dies while driving highway speeds of 60 or 70. All electrical systems connected to the ignition go out for a brief period (about 2-3 seconds) and then come back on. This is not a complete electrical failure since the headlights stay on when it happens. I've heard on this sight about the IC module on the distrubitor and cleaned the contacts. Are there any other things I should look out for?

No, it happens intermittently, but it only happens while driving at those speeds. I drive this car regulary and it could happen one day a couple of times and not do it for a couple of days then all of the sudden it happens again.

I have (had) the same problem. Try replacing the ignition module as yours is probably bad. From what I hear they get really heat sensative as the go bad. Try replacing it w/ a unit from a salvage yard. from a maxima or a z.
