About two weeks ago my 76 developed a hesitation problem. I was driving along and it felt like I took my foot off the gas, but I didnt. Now the problem is getting worse over 2300rpm to around 3000rpm the car will hesitate and not accelerate then its fine over 3000rm. The engine doesnt stumble at all, at least I cant hear any changes in the rpms. What else can it be. Please help.

Thanks

Craig I have two areas you will need to check. First you will need to check the Throttle Position Switch. This switch monitors when the throttle opens then transfers the monitoring duties to the AFM. The air flow meter would be the second thing I would check. The flap could either be sticking, internal spring shot or potentiometer in it shot. Both the TPS and AFM can be checked for proper operation with a Haynes manual and a Ohm meter. Good luck.
