I have a 71-Z and the headlights are terrible. Seems to me the Lamp is attached
with a wire harness?????? Whats the replacement procedure.

You have to go into the fender well and remove the headlight assembly. Then you can remove the chrome mounting ring (3 screws) and remove the bulb. I would suggest you invest in a pair of Hella Vision Plus bulbs. JC Whittneys has them, or you can go for the Hella 7" E Code H-4 Bulbs (E code is European... not DOT legal because of the sharp bulb cutoff pattern. As long as they are aligned properly, you wont have any problems with the "Man".)
Here is a link for the E Code H-4's...

i agree with tese guys invest in a set of h-4 lamps. if you can go with the euro typeor tha flat lense style i have had mine on for about 8 yrs and align them so they are just under the reg sealbeam type. never had the man stop me for lights (speeding, window tint) try and go with a hotter bulb like 100w-80w. your system can still handle this much with no problems, i woundn't go much brighter than that with out bigger wire and and extra relay. goodluck leo v.
