I remember someone having a site with a how to swap out a NA engine with a Turbo one, I've been playing around with the idea for a while, and I really want the extra power in my 84 2+2, also, I'm pretty sure it will fit in my 2+2, but if I'm wrong, could someone correct me?

It will fit... There are two ways... Slap a turbo on you N/A motor or Swap the whole engine form a turbo. I have some links for you... I'll find them...

Awsome, I may just swap engines, since I want to keep driving the car for a long while, so what I think I may do is find a rebuildable turbo engine and tranny, do an engine rebuild on it and then finaly swap out the engines, I love that car and I want to keep it running as long as possible haha

Good stuff, thats what I'm doing with my 2+2. I've gone a bit mad, aiming for 400rwhp.

I finally found a decent shop in the central Florida area to do engine work on my 1986 300ZX 2+2. I asked the guy how much it would run to install a turbo on my car, and he said he's done it before on one of these old 300ZX's and it ran approx. $8,500 because he had to replace the suspension with another one that would allow room for the turbo to be installed. I've been making minor upgrades for more power (K&N filtercharger, etc.) and the turbo would make a nice boost in HP. But does that $8,500 quote sound right? If so, its certainly not worth it.

One person you should ask is 88Hybrid. He has an 88 that he made into a turbo, and is currently installing a Pathy manifold, and some "super secret turbo part" Good luck, and let us know how it goes. Kingivory, I also live in Central Florida, and am starting a Tubro club, let me know if you have the swap done (I just bought a turbo Z31 not too long ago, needed an uprgrade from my N/A)

Yeah, thats what I'm hoping to do, I just need to find a suitable donor car, maybe a turbo car that has been more or less damaged beyond repair in all the parts that I don't need...in other words a dream that will never happen haha

Although I have not done the swap this version of the swap I am providing a link to below (which was also mentioned above) makes the most sense and appears to be the easiest and most cost effective. In is not super-indepth but it gives you a great outline:
