I have been reading on this forum for the last year trying to decide whether it would be worth it to convert my 83 n/a to a turbo. From what I have read the turbos are the only way to go. I have the money and the ambition to take on this project. Time is scarce so it will take me a while. My only concern is the my ability to do the rebuild and of course the troubleshooting when it is time to drop in. I am mechanically inclined but not an engine buff. Do you guys think this would be within my scope. Just looking for a little advice before I get to deep. I started last night tearing the motor down. It sure looks like it will be a job.

most people put the whole tubbo and wiring from a turbo car...

Your NA car has flat top pistons so your compression is probably too high...

Get a turbo motor and start from there....
