I have a 1979 280zx im looking at the service manual and none of the vin numbers match up with the vin on my title the vin is HS130208663 anyone know anything

The number on you vehicle should match your paper title. Not sure what you do if it’s doesn’t, they are supposed MVA is supposed to check that when you register it.

If you are just talking about the number not having much meaning and/or no letters then it’s the same as my 79ZX, just S130-xxxxxx. They didn’t start doing modern style VIN numbers until a year or two later.

Whether a VIN matches the service manual isn't something to worry about. Manuals always are out of date when they are published.

What matters is if the VIN matches the title.

Ok great yea the vin on the car matches the title i just cant find anything in the manual about my vin but if it dosent matter than thanks you
