Anyone turn the heater on for the first time in 19 years?
It was like a living ****.
Little microscopic things blowing everyplace.
It got in my eyes and was like sand.
Some rubber or plastic has decomposed.
Any ideas,what should I look for?

air intake has (had) foam seal thing. that needs to be cleaned off I think

when you ask, (what you should look for ) I would suggest an optomitrist who makes house calls. hahahaha

Yup, cheap foam seals on the air doors, and the connections between air box and heater box, and the fan mount housing. Every time I take something apart and it has foam seals on it, I replace it with stickon weatherstrip from hardware store. 3/8" seems to be a good size for most replacements. It falls off the back sides of the rear quarter panels (inside plastic) too and makes them rattle! Get a dust filter mask!! lol ahhhhhhh the pleasures of old classic cars.
