The voltage regulator went out on my car. I got a new one plus an alternator too. I still can't get tail, brake, or dash lights and the radio is dead. I put all new fuses in too. I'm thinking of selling it because I need a car for work. Please help me, I don't want to sell my baby boy z, he's such a good lttle car and he's got almost all his original parts. I even got the battery replaced. I'm just a woman and I have no skematics (is that how you spell it?) on my car. It doesn't even run the same now. Please help me.

I think that one of you fusable links has bund out. I know when the dash lights went out on mine, they were the cause. They are the four wire located about a foot or so to the right of the battery. They might have covers over them. Then you would see two boxes instead of the wires.
I don't have a diagram here but i think that the 2 sets of wire on the pasanges side of the car control the lights, and the other side controlls the ingition.
To test if this is the problem swap the wire around.
If your brake and dash lights work and the headlights don;t then that is your problem and you need a new fusable link.

Eric has the right idea. If you have any questions contact me directly and I'll give you additional details - if you need them. This is not a problem worth selling your baby over.
