Since my airbag is broken (the layer on which the airbag was supposed to break through is broken) I still have this annoying airbag light that has been blinking for a while and it doesn't have to do with diagnostics since I already did that....it just constantly blinks...so I'm guessing that the airbag is not connected...thing is I don't want to connect it because of the fact that the airbag unit is damaged so I want to bypass it. I know there is a way of doing this because aftermarket steering wheel kits come with a bypass if the car in question has an airbag. I'm not looking into replacing the steering wheel with an aftermarket one, just want to get rid of the blinking red airbag light.

EDIT: I already checked with courtesy nissan, and they don't have it. They only have the steering wheel assembly, but not the airbag.

I thought that's what caused the airbag light to go off in the first place?

...or if you're not replacing the airbag, pull the bulb? :-x

That's what I did when I went to aftermarket steering wheel. Takes 10-15 minutes to pop the gauge pod cover off and loosen things a bit to get at the bulb.
