Does anyone know where I can get my hands on the "cups" (or "shell") that fits in the eyes of the moustache bar?

I'm doing a bushing swap, and want to have the new bar/cups/bushings ready to put in when I drop the old one. Since I don't have access to a press or torch to remove the old bushings, I don't want to have so much down time getting the bar to someone else to remove them; so intead I'm just have a completely new set ready to bolt up.

I bought a new MB and bushings, but didn't realize that I didn't get the cups/shells that go in the eyes of the MB....

...so if anyone knows where to get them online, or if anyone has spares I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

Steven

what are the cups or shells you are talking about? you talking about the round part on either end?

The "cups" are in the stock moustache bar and should stay there. They are needed when the new aftermarket bushings are inserted. When you burn out the old, you will see them.

I'll double check my spare MB, but for some reason I dont think the cups are in there. I don't recall seeing anything in the moustache bar openings at the end, but I could be (hopefully) mistaken.

Yeah, I just confirmed it: the ends/openings of my moustache bar does not have the "cups." I bought the bar used from someone, so I guess they removed them before sending the bar to me.

Ideas? Anyone have spares or going to a junk yard?

I am not sure if it will matter much as long as there are no sharp edges that cut into the bushing.

Just wrap the bussing with electrical tape to enlarge it.
