I have a 1979 280zx 2+2 (106,000mi
right now I have a few major problems.
1.my clutch is going.
2.my suspension is original (bushings to)
3.blowing a little bit of smoke.
4.brakes are going all the way to the ground (master cylinder)
5. and to top it off the previous owner must have been an idiot.

I need suggestions on what I should do in what order, I really want to get the suspwnsion fixed right now do the work my self, but if I have to do that then I cant fix the clutch, wich would render me imobile. the engine can wait (not to long, it'll make me itch all over) What should I DO??
I dont want my car to rattle to death !?!?!?

You should take the car out of service and do the brakes, cultch and bushings at the same time. Bushing kit is 180$ the cultch is 80$ ( I have a new plate if it is worth shipping) and the master cylinder is about 50$.

The bushing will be the work but not near as bad as you would think. I just burned out any that were stuborn.

You will have the rear end apart so take the transmission out and put in a new clutch.

Good luck,
Terry
